When referring to foods that originate from the Palestinian people - like shakshuka and maklubeh - it'd be appreciated if politics did not bleed into what should be an innocent task of food reporting...

This is the 3rd website I have seen that lists shakshuka as Israeli and refuses to recognize Palestinian dishes, like maklubeh, as Palestinian...rather you reference it in vague terms with obscure descriptions such as "Italian risotto", "Spanish paella", and "Persian aromas".

Clearly, it would be political suicide to recognize the existence of Palestinian even on a food blog. Pathetic, really.
