Couscous
Cous Cous Fest 2005
Integration, multiculturalism, enjoyment in one another’s company, the sound of many languages and the harmony created by the same enthusiasm – numerous ingredients have turned San Vito Lo Capo, situated on the north west coast of Sicily, into the international couscous capital.
During the 8th Annual Couscous Fest, from September 21st to 26th, chefs from Algeria, the Ivory Coast, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Palestine, Senegal and Tunisia will cook various types of couscous (meat, fish, vegetable etc) according to their own national recipes.
The cultural approach on which the Festival is based focuses on couscous, but also includes the best of Sicilian cuisine, especially wines and olive oil. And that’s not all. Ethnic music is also showcased in the Cous Cous Live Music show.
