Teriyaki
1 in. ginger root (2 tbl. grated)
Grate about an inch off the ginger root.
2 cloves garlic (2 tsp. minced)
Mince the garlic cloves.
½ c. soy sauce
½ c. honey (or sugar or brown sugar)
Mix the grated ginger, minced garlic, soy sauce, and honey/sugar/brown sugar together.
Taste the marinade, and adjust it to taste.
You may want to add more honey to sweeten it.
** You can now add what you want marinated (skewered beef, chicken, vegetables, etc.). Marinate this in the refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours.
