Baharat

Baharat - the Arab answer to black pepper - imparts a sweet and mysterious Eastern flavor that tinges all the food and creates a connection between the meat, the beans, the eggs and the potatoes, and the dried fruit that may be eaten at the end, as a last course.

This Middle Eastern blend is an aromatic yet wonderfully spicy mixture of seven spices. This exotic blend is used throughout the Middle East, from Turkey to Morocco to Kuwait. Its magical medley of heat and sweetness creates a pleasant sensation on the palate. Use in lamb stews, ground meat dishes, couscous, and stuffed vegetables. Rub on chicken before roasting. Create a delightful Mediterranean fusion by adding some to Italian or Spanish dishes. Contains allspice, cloves, black pepper, cinnamon, coriander, cumin, and nutmeg.

Recipe 1:
1 tsp. ground cardamom
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. dried ginger, ground
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground English pepper
1/4 tsp. ground cloves

6 אגוזי מוסקט
50 גרם הל
50 גרם ציפורן
80 גרם קינמון
2 כפות שושנים יבשות ללא גבעולים (את כל החומרים ניתן למצוא בחנויות התבלינים)
